SNOW!!!!

It sure has been a crazy couple of days. I can say that I have gotten 2 snow days! It is snowing so hard right now...I am thinking we could have a delay tomorrow. I guess I should just be glad I am off today. Jerry and I will pick up my parents on Saturday at the airport. They have been in Florida for 3 weeks...I think I would stay.

Logan the Baker

Tonight I picked up my niece Logan from Daisys.  Daisys is the beginning of Girl Scouts.  So their group had a  field trip to the Cake Ladies in Springboro.  Each Daisy got to ice and decorate their own cakes. Well....I have to admit that I thought Logan's was the best, of course.  She did a great job. She iced her cake perfectly, decorated the top with a daisy and then put her name on it.  Great Job Logan!  Obviously she got her talent with cake decorating from Grandma Rose.  Keep up the good work Logan.......maybe some day you will be a famous "Cake Lady" like your Grandma Rose.

end of quarter

Back to work after a nice 4 day weekend.  It has started out busy. This is the end of the 2nd Quarter and 1st Semester. Boy how the school year flies. So with all the delays and days off...trying to get all my students caught up and all work finished, PLUS graded by this Friday. So I will be busy with the end of the quarter.  I guess my weekend will consist of  getting all grades done, so they can be posted on Monday.

crazy weather

It has been a few days since I have wrote. The week and weather have been crazy. The wind chill has been anywhere from 10 to 30 BELOW! The tempature has been anywhere from 23 above to 15 BELOW! Now that is crazy. Today, Saturday..it is going to be about 28 degrees above. That is going to feel like a heatwave. So I have had several school delays and was lucky to be off on Friday due to the wind chill. So that is making for a nice long weekend..since Monday is a holiday and there is no school. So I plan on getting some household chores done....and relaxing. I love long weekends :)

I just got back from the grocery store. All stocked up and hoping for a snow day...HAHA...
The weather people haven't been right yet...so I am not getting my hopes up. If we get one it will be a plus. I will let you know the outcome tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed for me :)

another relaxing day

Today.....we went to lunch..go figure. Then I had an appointment with some future clients. Keeping my figures crossed that they book. Then once I got home, Jerry and I went to my cousins house for a visit. We stayed a couple of hours. Then we stopped and got us a sandwich for dinner. We came home...and now I am in my warm pjs. Getting ready to go fix my lunch for tomorrow. So my total weekend was relaxing. That doesn't seem to happen all the time.....it was very enjoyable! Ready for the week to come.

getting u caught up on my week

Well, I didn't have a chance to blog on Thursday and Friday. So I will fill you in.

Thursday I meet with a potential client for a wedding. I meet them at Starbucks. I went a little early surfed the net and had a frappocino while I waited. Yes, I did book the wedding!

On, Friday I had my quarter auction. Not such a great turn out, I think the weather scared a lot of people away. But, I did well besides that fact.

Now it is Saturday at 1:oo in the afternoon and I am still in my pjs. I am getting a lot of things caught up and done. Sometimes it is nice to be able to lounge around and not have to worry about doing this and doing that. So today is going to be a nice, productive and relaxing day.

The weather did not come through for me or my students. It was not bad at all this morning. When I turned on the news this morning at 5:30am...there was only 4 delays and they were all up north. So today was a normal day. I can even say it was a good day and the students seem to be on their best behavior, which is not typically the case. So lets mark this day down as a GREAT DAY at work! 11 more days until my next day off...........

crazy day............

Well the day started out crazy....of course the ice did not start soon enough for a delay...but as the morning progressed....our other districts either delayed or closed. I only am off if Xenia closes. Well, low and behold Xenia closed at 9:33am for elementary schools only. Since the High School and Middle School was already there..they had to stay. Well my students were not happy. So they are all praying for a delay (really a closing) for tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed. Let you know tomorrow the outcome. Stay tuned....................

first day after 2 week break.....

Today was my first day back to school after a 2 week holiday break. It wasn't as bad as I thought. I woke up at 4:30am and said "nope 1 more hour". So getting up was not an issue like I thought it would be...since I got pretty lazy over break. Yes...I said "LAZY" and I am sure a lot of you are surprised to hear that word from me. But the day went by rather fast and the students were great. So....I guess I will go back tomorrow.....................13 day countdown until next day off......the perks we look forward to....

A NEW YEAR !

Well, this is my first of many posts for 2009. As I sit and ponder about 2008, it was a year of many happy and sad moments. The most recent memory of 2008 was the death of my grandmother Ruth Brown. She passed away on Dec. 8th 2008. It was very peaceful, but also painful. The holidays were not the same without her. Her memory will always be with me during each holiday and special event. She was one that loved to live life and she did it to the fullest everyday! I miss and love her dearly.

I pray that God will keep us all healthy and safe for the upcoming year and years to come. I also pray that many of my family and friends are in good health and safe as well. I hope 2009 brings many happy memories for all.
